Chewelry Guide: Stylish Chew Necklaces for Every Age
What Is Chewelry?
Chewelry is jewellery you can chew simple as that. Made from food-grade silicone, these necklaces and pendants look great, feel good to chew on, and are built to handle daily use. Whether it's a child who needs something safe to chew at school or an adult who reaches for something during a stressful day, chewelry is a stylish, practical solution.
Our Full Pendant Range
We carry one of Australia's biggest ranges of chew necklace pendants. Every single one is made from food-grade silicone that's BPA-free and non-toxic. Here's the lineup:
Materials & Safety
Every pendant in our range is made from 100% food-grade silicone the same material used in baby teethers and kitchen utensils. They're BPA-free, PVC-free, lead-free, and non-toxic. Most come on a breakaway cord that unclips under pressure, so they're safe for kids to wear at school and during play.
Who Wears Chewelry?
Everyone. Babies teethe on them, toddlers explore them, school-age kids chew them at their desk, teenagers wear them discreetly under a school shirt, and adults use them at work or uni. The fun designs (Dino, Robot, Mermaid) are perfect for younger kids, while the Organic Pendant and Heart Pendant suit teens and adults who want something more subtle.
Other Chew Options
Not a necklace person? We've got you covered:
- Chewy Wrist Bands — chewable silicone bracelets, easy for little ones to access
- Bite Band — a wristband with a built-in chew surface
Care Tips
Silicone is wonderfully easy to care for. Most of our chew necklaces can go in the top rack of the dishwasher or be washed with warm soapy water. They dry quickly and don't hold odours. Replace your pendant if you notice any tears or bite marks that go all the way through.
