Sensory Compression Sheets: Everything You Need to Know

Sensory Compression Sheets

Compression sheets are one of those products that customers tell us they wish they'd found sooner. If you're curious about what they are and how they work, here's everything you need to know.

What Are They?

A compression sheet is a stretchy, breathable fabric that wraps tightly around the mattress — like a fitted sheet, but with resistance. When you lie under it, the fabric creates gentle, even pressure across your body. It's that snug, tucked-in feeling, all night long.

How Do You Set Them Up?

They go on just like a fitted sheet. Stretch it over the mattress, tuck the edges under, and you're done. Your child (or you!) slides underneath. The fabric stretches enough to move around comfortably but stays snug. No clips or straps needed.

What Sizes Are Available?

Our Sensory Compression Sheets come in single, double, and queen sizes. They fit standard Australian mattress dimensions. If you're not sure which size, measure your mattress depth — the sheet needs to tuck under securely.

How Do They Feel?

Customers describe it as being gently hugged all over. It's not heavy like a weighted blanket — it's light pressure from the stretch of the fabric. Some families use compression sheets with a weighted blanket on top for extra comfort, while others prefer one or the other.

Compression Sheets vs Bed Socks

Sensory Compression Sheets Lycra Bed Sock

We carry two styles for bedtime compression:

Customers tell us compression sheets suit kids who like to get in and out freely, while bed socks suit those who love feeling fully enclosed.
